Jon is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMI) and programme manager, with a Master’s degree in Project Management and postgraduate qualifications in Facilities / Asset Management.
Jon’s portfolio of work includes both state and privately funded projects with values in excess of $100 million. His experience covers aviation, electrified rail, educational/institutional, defence and commercial projects in Western Australia and New Zealand.
Jon’s focus is on project and program establishment. He has sound dispute knowledge and experience of assessing contractor claims, programme assessment and progress reporting.
He has advised on project, governance and establishment of organizational frameworks for private, mining and government sectors. Jon has acted in senior programme and project management roles within the Public and Private sectors and is keenly aware of the project and process drivers associated with both government and commercial projects.
Over the last two years in Western Australia, Jon has been supporting a West Australian State rail station access programme of works, improving access to over 70 Metro rail stations, along with the development of the rail engineering competency framework and initiation of its rollout.
Jon is experienced in the establishment of professional services panels as a mechanism to attain value for money, improved service levels, increased level of certainty and efficiency for both the supplier and the client. He has established, and supported the establishment of, several professional services panels for local and regional governments in New Zealand, and State Transport Authorities in Australia, including support to Paul in the strategic procurement of design, contractor and professional services panels for the 3 Waters Programme in Queenstown.
