TEAM were engaged to Project Manage and be Engineer to Contract for the structural and seismic upgrade of the YMCA accommodation building. This entailed full window replacement and the refurbishment of the entire interior, comprising of 96 bedrooms, common spaces and commercial kitchens. The brief also required the full replacement of non-compliant electrical and plumbing systems, a soft fit out and new FF&E supply.

GIVE Hotel was delivered under a hybrid NZS3916 Design and Build contract. The structural upgrade comprised of the difficult incorporation of new in-situ concrete and steel elements, additional cutting in and the installation of seismic joints and new support brackets. A challenging project but delivered on time and within budget for the Prime Ministers opening in August 2021.
