Simon Brackstone has 28 years industry experience across both infrastructure and building sectors. He is known to be straight talking, honest, upfront and reliable. He gives clients the confidence to embark upon a project with the knowledge that all the details will be monitored and looked after with true professionalism.
Following the Christchurch Earthquakes, Simon was engaged as project manager and Engineer’s Representative on the Christchurch Bus Interchange and key commercial developments in the CBD, rebuild of the Lyttleton school and Earthquake strengthening of Housing New Zealand houses. He was also a damage assessor for hundreds of residential houses which had suffered earthquake damage.
Simon is based in Queenstown and has completed projects for many clients including well known Developers, Corporates and Local Government bodies. He has also worked with many private clients both based locally and overseas. Simon has been Architects representative on several Queenstown Ministry of Education School build projects and consulted to local Development Companies in the capacity of Senior Project Manager. Simon has served as a long term consultant with Queenstown Lakes District Council Urban Design advisory panel.
Simon has a good grounding in contract management, having been both Engineers Representative and Engineer to a number of high value construction contracts. As licensed building practitioner, Simon has a strong knowledge of the building code and RMA compliance.
