The Opportunity
As Project Director, you’ll lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects while driving operational and business development activities within the South Island business. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll provide strategic direction, mentoring, and hands-on leadership across project design, delivery, and stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams to ensure seamless delivery across all project stages.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality outcomes and repeat business.
- Supporting business development and work-winning initiatives across key market sectors.
- Managing budgets, resourcing, and project governance to ensure financial and delivery targets are achieved.
- Coaching and developing team members to foster capability, confidence, and performance.
- Contributing to the growth of the business through leadership, collaboration, and innovation.
About You
You are a highly experienced Project Management professional with:
- 10+ years of experience in project management
- Demonstrable experience within the 3 Waters sector.
- At least 5 years of PD experience within the South Island
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, clients, and complex projects concurrently.
- A collaborative, commercial, and solution-oriented mindset.
